AWARDS - GRAND PRIX


GRAND PRIX VISTULA RIVER

Sixteen feature documentary films take part in the international competition. They all compete for the festival's main prize - GRAND PRIX VISTULA RIVER. Films from all over the world were allowed to participate in the competition, as long as they were produced after the 1st of January 2007 and were longer than 60 minutes.

During the first days of the festival these films will be divided into four groups. And at the end of the second week the international jury will select two best films in each group.

Later the films will compete according to the rules of a single-elimination tournament. The jury will pick one film from each pair, and so on until only one remains. The winner shall be announce on Sunday 27th of September.

The best film will be awarded with the GRAND PRIX VISTULA RIVER, and its director will receive a 5 thousand Euro prize sponsored by the city of Warsaw.
